This palace holds within its walls ancient stories and important names:  it was designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, one of the best known names in the art scene of the Renaissance.

Originally there was a single big apartment, home to the private archive of the former Prime Minister Giulio Andreotti. “Il Divo” is the main character of a famous film by Paolo Sorrentino inspired by the political man’s life . It is fascinating and suggestive to think of sleeping between the walls that have kept names, facts and secrets of Italian political life for almost 50 years.

 

Neighborhood

Via Frattina, a historic road that connects Via del Corso with the Piazza di Spagna area, is included in the “Roman Trident” where you can admire churches, monuments, historic buildings and, not least, stroll through the main shopping streets of Rome . All the symbolic places of the capital are easily reachable. These are the main attractions within walking distance: Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo, Villa Borghese, Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Colosseum, Fori Imperiali, Altare della Patria in Piazza Venezia.
